Willmeng Construction is pleased to announce the promotion of Mike Mongelli, COO to President. As a partner and part of the leadership team, Mongelli joined Willmeng in 2011, bringing his dynamic experience and tenure. Specializing in providing management in business operations from preconstruction to project completion, Mongelli’s experience has led him to this position, where he will oversee the successful execution of projects on behalf of clients.
“Mike has been our COO since 2011, became a partner in the firm in 2013, and is truly an inspiring leader to anyone who has ever had the privilege of working for or with him,” shared James Murphy, CEO of Willmeng Construction. “I feel that he is the best in the business in preconstruction and execution. It will be exciting to watch Mike create our future leaders as the model for not only Willmeng, but the industry at large.”
He moved up the ranks at various development and construction companies in Arizona and Nevada before joining Willmeng in 2011 as Chief Operating Officer. He provides leadership to 140 employees in the growing firm and management to key projects and daily business operations from preconstruction set up through construction in the field.
Mongelli has an extensive background in construction. Throughout high school, he worked in Nevada on underground pipe installation and cabinetry work in the area casinos. With an impressive list of notable projects at Willmeng including, Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems at Park Place in Chandler, The Reserve at San Tan, Consumer Cellular, and Infusionsoft headquarters, Mongelli brings his expertise and passion to every project, through focus and vision. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Arizona State University.
