Grading crew for Ace Asphalt, Phoenix, began this morning on phase one of asphalt pulverizing and regrading. The project is divided into four phases with each phase lasting four days, including asphalt crushing, removal, grading, paving, and striping. After each phase is complete swift moving of barricades will allow a new phase to begin the following day keeping the project on schedule and allowing for constant flow of pedestrians and local traffic. Pavement Recycling Supply (PRS) is handling all milling operations while Ace Asphalt will perform all grading and paving. The fry's Food & Drug was originally built as a Smitty's Big Town grocery store by Double AA Builders, Phoenix and opened on October 17th, 1973. Located at Cave Creek Rd. and Hatcher, the store filled the supermarket gap of the once the A.J. Bayless market located at second St. and Dunlap which was demolished for expansions at John C. Lincoln Hospital.
