McCarthy Building Companies Hires Jake Stones as Project Director


McCarthy Building Companies (www.mccarthy.com) recently hired Jake Stones as a project director for the Southwest region. He will be supporting McCarthy’s national Water Services program.

In this position, Stones is responsible for the overall leadership and direction of project preconstruction services and construction execution, as well as maintaining an open client relationship while also ensuring project teams maintain the schedule and budget, prioritize safety and adhere to McCarthy’s strict quality standards.

Stones has led water and wastewater projects in Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Wyoming over the course of his career, including the award-winning Chandler Airport Water Reclamation Facility Expansion in Chandler, Ariz., and the West Side Water Treatment Plant project in Fort Worth, Texas.

“Jake will excel in the role of project director due to his dedication, ingenuity and passion for growing and developing high-functioning teams,” said Justin Kelton, president of McCarthy’s Southwest region. “His vast infrastructure experience, particularly in the water and wastewater industry, will be an asset to our Water Services team.”

Stones previously served as a project manager at McCarthy. He has a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Boise State University and an MBA from Weber State University. He is a member of the Water Environment Federation (WEF).
