Building owners, contractors, inspectors and facility managers are demanding more detailed reports. Time Lock Documentation (TLD) software specifically address these issues. Time, date, GPS stamped photos and code are automatically inserted into the certified documents in tandem with an e-signature in an encrypted application which helps drive integrity into the process. With the new PlanGrid integration, these documents can be synced with a PlanGrid project, and automatically saved into the PlanGrid project documents folder. This allows users to hyperlink more detailed reports to track ongoing issues like inspections and commissioning reports.
Time Lock Documentation (TLD) designs applications for any mobile device to streamline workflows for building owners, engineers, architects and tradespeople. The current system of printing, scanning, and emailing from the field to the office is inefficient, and over 60% of commissioning documentation is lost or is incomplete and never makes it to the building owner. Additionally, there is no electronic way to quickly reference specific construction codes in the field and passing down information is haphazard. TLD apps help complete common tasks such as commissioning, inspection, punch-list items and daily documentation by providing construction teams with a live block-chain application that will completely document and add integrity throughout the lifecycle of a project.
TLD applications provide usable, updatable data and information that can be handed to the technicians to build and service the project. TLD’s digital applications insert critical visual and code information into important documents, saving time and money. Users then email the commissioning document right from a phone or tablet. By using the TLD app and syncing to a PlanGrid project, the document becomes saved into the PlanGrid project document folder. PlanGrid users can then use that information in the field, within the context of their full project record. For instance, they can link the document directly on a drawing, reference it in an RFI, or attach it to a Field Report.
“This is a great way to organize commissioning work throughout the project and allow for easy review in PlanGrid” said Chris Eberhardt, CEO of Time Lock Documentation.
As a former project manager for large construction projects in the Bay Area, Chris was tired of the inefficiencies of inspections and commissioning documents, so he designed a secure platform to address these issues and deliver a better product.
“Partners like TLD solve key documentation gaps in the field,” said James Cook, Head of Strategic Alliances and Partnerships at PlanGrid.
“By syncing reports into PlanGrid, TLD is offering yet another way for our customers to access and collaborate on the information they need to build more effectively and efficiently. Sending my commissioning package in one file format is a huge time and labor savings,” said Alex Costas, commissioning foreman, Local 332.
“TLD keeps us organized, and by synching with PlanGrid, keeps members of the team on the same page” said Ernie Aarsen, electrician with Local 332.
From technician to building owner, TLD and PlanGrid users can benefit with the efficiency and utility of this software combination. TLD tracks the lifecycle of construction systems in a building with a blockchain process and delivering usable data, to make commissioning more efficient.
