TDIndustries hires Mark Watson to lead its Controls group

TDIndustries has hired Mark Watson as the Vice President of its Controls (building automation) group. Mark will be based in TD’s Phoenix, Arizona location, but will oversee all aspects of this specialty group throughout the Southwest, including Texas.

Watson’s background includes leadership roles in top controls and fire/life safety solutions companies, including Siemens and SimplexGrinnell. Throughout his career, Mark has developed profitable growth strategies and transformed businesses into customer-focused, long-term sustainable successes.

Deeply rooted in Servant Leadership practices, Watson understands the importance of relationship building. A 10-year Navy veteran, Watson earned the rank of Petty Officer First Class as an electrician and was deployed overseas six times, including during the Gulf War. While serving his country, Mark’s additional responsibilities included leading shipboard work centers, naval police officer duties, and serving as a member of a special boat unit (SBU) team.

“Our controls group helps customers identify system performance, and make sense of data that can be used to improve their efficiency,” said TD President Ed White. “Mark has a long history of advising customers on ways to improve their building, so he will help us continue to be a trusted partner to building owners.”

Outside of work, Watson enjoys golf, travel, and road trips with his family.
