 The Long-Standing Valley Destination Reopens with Modernized Space, Specialty Coffee Creations, and Grand Reopening Event Nov. 20

Coffee Plantation, a cherished Valley staple since the 1980s, is thrilled to announce its grand reopening following a major renovation that enhanced both its ambiance and menu offerings. A celebration will take place on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7366 E. Shea Blvd. in Scottsdale, featuring live music, complimentary food displays for guests to sample the new menu items, and more.

“Our goal was not just to preserve the lovable aspects of Coffee Plantation from back in the day but also to transform it into a destination where people can sit down, enjoy delicious meals alongside their favorite coffees, and feel at home,” said owner, Omar Karkoutli.

For decades, Coffee Plantation has acted as more than just a coffee shop; it was known as a cozy retreat where locals gather to savor their favorite brews. Recognizing a growing demand in the community for a café that offers not only premium coffee but also filling and healthy food options, the owners reimagined the space and menu to create an inviting destination that caters to diverse tastes and dietary needs.

This renovation marks the establishment’s most significant update in its storied history, transforming it into not just a coffee shop but a destination where patrons can enjoy an array of delectable dishes alongside their favorite brews.

The revamped menu boasts an impressive selection of signature dishes and drinks taking inspiration from an array of cultural culinary techniques. New items include Lavender Matcha, Pistachio Matcha, Dubai Chocolate and Strawberry Dessert Cups, Scandinavian Salmon Eggs Benedict, plus salads, wraps and made-to-order crepes and waffles.

All coffee beans are locally sourced from a Valley roaster, reinforcing Coffee Plantation's commitment to supporting small businesses and community entrepreneurs. The introduction of a state-of-the-art espresso machine further elevates the quality of beverages served.

“Creating this new menu was truly a labor of love,” said Karkoutli. “We listened closely to our loyal guests’ feedback and worked diligently to deliver exactly what they wanted.”

The effort put into this renovation was comprehensive; not one aspect of the old design remains untouched. Guests will now be welcomed into an entirely refreshed space featuring beautiful oak beams and a soothing sage green backsplash adorned with hanging plants, creating an organic yet elevated atmosphere perfect for relaxation or socializing over thoughtfully crafted food and caffeinated creations.
