This Father’s Day, Diversified Partners, a leading Scottsdale-based real estate brokerage and development firm, is highlighting a unique dynamic within its leadership team, where multiple father-son relationships are helping shape the company’s continued growth.

At the center of that dynamic is CEO Walt Brown Jr. and his son, Wally Brown. While Wally initially built his career in the technology sector, he ultimately joined the firm and now serves as a partner, working alongside his father across deals, strategy and day-to-day operations.

“Working alongside my son has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career,” said Walt Brown Jr., CEO of Diversified Partners. “There’s a level of trust and alignment that comes naturally, and it carries through into how we approach every deal and decision as a team.”

In his role, Wally Brown oversees key tenant relationships and development projects across the Valley, including national retail partnerships such as Starbucks, while contributing to high-profile developments like The Lakefront in Scottsdale. He was also recognized in AZ Big Media’s 2026 “People & Projects to Know,” highlighting emerging leaders in the region’s real estate industry.

His transition into the business reflects a broader shift within the company, where leadership is increasingly defined by collaboration across generations.

That approach expanded further with Managing Director Stan Sanchez, who brought his son, Colton Sanchez, into the firm following a global career in finance.

Stan Sanchez’s arrival was years in the making, as Walt Brown Jr. had long recruited him before he officially joined the firm. Since coming on board, he has helped expand Diversified Partners’ investment sales capabilities, creating new opportunities for collaboration across teams and supporting the development of the company’s next generation of leadership.

Colton Sanchez serves as an investment analyst and associate broker on the firm’s investment sales team, where he applies a data-driven approach to financial modeling, asset valuation and capital strategy. Since joining the firm, the investment sales team has brought more than $80 million in single-tenant and shopping center assets to market. Prior to joining the firm, he worked with R.W. Kline Companies in Phoenix and held a leadership role with First Trust Portfolios, helping expand the firm’s presence across Latin America.

“It’s an incredible opportunity to build on the foundation my father has created while contributing in my own way,” said Colton Sanchez, investment analyst and associate broker at Diversified Partners. “There’s a strong sense of responsibility, but also a lot of pride in being part of something that continues to grow.”

Working alongside one another, Wally Brown and Colton Sanchez represent the next generation of leadership at the firm. They collaborate across leasing, development and client strategy, combining fresh ideas with the experience and guidance of senior leadership. Together, they are working on projects including a 24-acre mixed-use development in the Southeast Valley at Ironwood Road and Ranch Road in San Tan Valley, as well as The Lakefront in Scottsdale, supporting continued growth across the company’s portfolio.

Across the organization, this multi-generational structure has become a defining part of the company’s culture, rooted in trust, mentorship and a shared commitment to long-term growth. Leadership points to the combination of experience and new perspective as a key advantage, with younger team members bringing technical fluency and fresh approaches, while seasoned leaders provide guidance and industry insight.

That emphasis on mentorship extends beyond family. Both Walt Brown Jr. and Stan Sanchez play active roles in developing talent across the organization, reinforcing a culture centered on collaboration and continuity.

Working alongside family has also added a personal dimension to the business. The ability to build something together while maintaining strong personal relationships has helped shape a workplace that is both performance-driven and deeply connected.

As the company continues to grow, its leadership model reflects a broader commitment to legacy and long-term success, demonstrating how experience and new perspectives can come together to shape the future of the business.
