Luxury Apartment Community The Ryan in Phoenix Now Leasing

The first residents will soon begin moving into StreetLights Residential’s new luxury multifamily project, The Ryan, which is a part of Block 23 at CityScape, the mixed-use development led by RED Development that is nearing completion. StreetLights and MetLife Investment Management, MetLife’s institutional asset management business, developed the 17-story high-rise which includes 332 apartments housed within the Block 23 community, encompassing 230,000 square feet of creative office space and an additional 14,000 square feet of restaurant and retail spaces, a multi-level Fry’s Signature Marketplace along with above- and below-grade parking.

Located in the lively urban environment of downtown Phoenix, The Ryan is an upscale, artistically conceptualized apartment community offering studio, one- and two-bedroom residences featuring a selection of floorplans complimented by a variety of modern, distinctive amenities. The sophisticated interiors include quartz countertops, wood-style flooring, stainless steel appliances, custom cabinetry, upgraded operable style windows and balcony in every unit. Built-in SONOS® speakers, wine refrigerators and front load washer and dryers are among some of the additional features included within the residential units, as well as built-in desks and urban mudrooms.

The Ryan features exclusive community amenities including concierge services, resident bar, a co-working space, a flex fitness center featuring Precor® equipment, electric car charging stations, a ground-floor restaurant, a dog run and pet spa, Makers Creative Space, a pool deck offering lounge seating, grilling stations and firepits, an expansive activity and yoga lawn and panoramic views of both downtown Phoenix and the neighboring mountains.

“With every StreetLights project, we are focused on developing an engaging multifamily community where the ‘street’ is the amenity. Block 23 at CityScape and this area of downtown Phoenix speak to that vision,” said Greg Nadeau, StreetLights’ Vice President of Development. “The Ryan and Block 23 are maintaining a sense of community that provides a ‘one-stop block’ with a great mix of retail, entertainment and walkable space.”

Block 23 is a high-rise, mixed-use destination that offers 230,000 square feet of creative office, restaurant and retail space along with above- and below-grade parking. Residents of The Ryan will have direct access to the eclectic mix of tenants within the development including Fry’s Food Store, which is the first full-service grocery store in the area and the most technologically advanced in the state; Blanco Cocina + Cantina, a Fox Restaurant Concept (FRC); and the coming-soon Chase Bank. Focused on community, creativity and commerce, Block 23 continues RED Development’s commitment to the urban core of Phoenix and marks CityScape’s expansion to 2nd Street.

StreetLights Creative Studio led in the urban planning and concept design of The Ryan, as well as leading the design teams of OMNIPLAN, Perkins + Will and Ink & Oro. Whiting Turner was the project’s general contractor. Alliance Residential is the property management company for Block 23.
