McCarthy Building Companies Promotes Justin Adams to Project Director

McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently announced the promotion of Justin Adams to project director for the firm’s healthcare group. During his 13 years at McCarthy, Adams’ experience has spanned across multiple business sectors, including healthcare, higher education, K-12, municipal, and water.

In his new role as project director, Adams is tasked with overseeing all preconstruction and construction operations on projects, driving the preconstruction process, and making sure jobs are set up correctly while collaborating with project partners.

“Justin invested in McCarthy early in his career, and he’s taken on every challenge that has come his way with experience in higher education, K-12, municipal, water and now healthcare,” said McCarthy Executive Vice President Chris Nickle. “He brings an incredible level of professionalism and leadership to his project teams, in collaboration with clients, and within the community, and we’re very fortunate to have him leading our partners in the field.”

Adams is currently leading the Mayo Clinic Vertical Velocity team, which is tasked with the vertical expansion of the east hospital tower valued at $145 million. He has spent all his career in the Southwest between Arizona and New Mexico and has a passion for projects in the healthcare industry. The special services group, which Adams oversees, completes roughly $10-$15 million in project revenue per year.

Adams lives in Phoenix with his wife, Ashley, and their two sons. As an Arizona native, he spends his free time with extended family in the Valley and supporting his sons’ training in Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu. The family also enjoys hiking, traveling and working on home improvement projects.
