McCarthy Building Companies Inc. recently hired Kendra Kim as vice president of electrical prefabrication for their Renewable Energy team based in Phoenix.
In this role, Kim will support the prefabrication and assembly processes, improving the efficiency and productivity of McCarthy’s Renewable Energy team. Her work will enhance McCarthy’s operational excellence and further refine best-in-class strategies at the firm’s prefabrication facility.
Kim brings 14 years of experience in operations and leadership, which has included overseeing numerous manufacturing facilities around the globe and across several industries. She will be integrating industry best practices from aviation, space, steel and electronics into McCarthy’s solar and renewable project prefabrication operations, which serve the team’s projects throughout the U.S.
Kim earned her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and her master’s degree in systems engineering from Arizona State University.
McCarthy Building Company’s Renewable Energy team has built or is currently constructing more than 100 utility-scale solar energy projects across the U.S., delivering a combined capacity of more than 13 gigawatts (GW) of clean energy production and over 2300 MW/ 8350 MWh of energy storage since 2010. McCarthy provides innovative solutions through design and construction to help maximize long-term returns for partners. Nationally, McCarthy provides EPC services on utility-scale solar projects for private solar developers and utilities, helping them deliver cost-effective clean energy to the communities they serve.
