Four-Building, 68,500-square-foot Aviation Project Advances Toward Summer 2026 Completion

Primak Construction Group (PCG) has reached a major construction milestone at the Falcon 12 development at Falcon Field Airport, with all four aircraft hangar buildings now officially “topped out”. Construction continues on the 68,500-square-foot aviation complex, with project completion expected in this Summer.

The topping-off milestone marks the installation of the final structural elements on each building, a significant milestone in the construction process that establishes the progress of the project and acknowledges the entire project team (DKS Properties, City of Mesa and Falcon Field, John Manross (architect), all of the project’s design consultants, as well as the great trade partners that are executing all of the work). PCG looks forward to continuing construction without any safety incidents or issues, as it has to date.

Located on just over four acres of Falcon Field Airport property, the Falcon 12 project represents Primak Construction Group’s ninth project in partnership with DKS Properties LLC. The four buildings will include twelve aircraft hangars available for lease. One building will also feature approximately 7,400 square feet of corporate office space, which may be leased separately or in combination with an adjacent hangar.

The development site sits in the airport’s historic district at Falcon 12 Aviation Center Lots 3 and 4 on Falcon Drive, at the Falcon Field Airport entrance.

“This Topping-Off milestone is a result of the strong and continued collaboration between DKS Properties and Primak Construction Group, as well as the dedication and significant contributions of everyone that has contributed to the project,” said Lou Primak, president and COO of Primak Construction Group. “Jay Donkersloot is a visionary business leader, and we’re proud to continue with our long-standing partnership with Jay. With this highly visible project at the airport’s primary gateway, the entire project Team remains committed to delivering a facility that respects Falcon Field’s historic character while supporting the airport’s continued growth.”

“DKS Properties builds long-standing partnerships based on trust, and Primak Construction Group has consistently delivered projects on time and on budget,” said Jay Donkersloot, president of DKS Properties. “We look forward to seeing Falcon 12 continue to take shape and to providing new aviation facilities that enhance the airport campus and overall visitor experience.”

The developed land will remain part of the overall airport property under DKS Properties’ long-term land lease through a development agreement with the Falcon Field Airport Authority and the City of Mesa.
