Community Celebrates Start of Construction on Casa Grande Apartments

Gorman & Company, alongside city leaders, recently celebrated the groundbreaking of Casa Grande Apartments at 115 W. Main Avenue, Casa Grande, AZ. The event marked the start of construction on a new affordable housing community that will contribute to the broader reinvestment effort in the city’s core.
“The City of Casa Grande is thrilled to have Gorman & Company bring this project to our community, said Robert Aldous, assistant to the city manager of Casa Grande. "This development will preserve the site's historic character, support downtown revitalization, and expand high-quality housing options for Casa Grande residents.”
Casa Grande Apartments will deliver 64 new apartment homes across three residential buildings, offering a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom units. The development also includes the adaptive reuse of the historic Shonessy House, which will be preserved and repurposed to serve as a community space and leasing office.
“This is a meaningful step forward for Casa Grande and for the families who will call this brand-new community home,” said Sally Schwenn, Arizona Market President for Gorman & Company. “We’re proud to work alongside the city and our partners to bring new housing to the 'Life on Main' redevelopment district, adjacent to downtown, in a way that builds on its history and supports its future.”
Construction on the project has begun, with completion anticipated in 2027.
