Primak Construction Group (formerly Agate Construction), a leading general contractor based in Phoenix, Arizona, is proud to announce that it has been honored with the prestigious NEWCON Captive Safety Award. This accolade underscores the company's unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for its Team Members and Trade Partners.

The NEWCON Captive Safety Award is presented to construction firms that demonstrate exemplary safety performance and proactive risk management strategies. Primak Construction Group’s (PCG) receipt of this award underscores its commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across all projects. This recognition is further supported by PCG’s impressive Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.54, placing the company in the top five percent of the construction industry. Additionally, with no risk shifting and no shared losses over the past five years, PCG achieved the maximum score in this category.
Key elements of PCG's safety program include:
Quarterly Safety “Stand Downs”: Four times a year, the entire PCG Team gathers to pause operations and focus on safety training and awareness. These sessions are integral to reinforcing the company's award-winning safety culture and ensuring that all Team members are aligned with best practices; “and nothing is more important than the safety and well-being of our Team Members and Trade Partners” is reinforced and prioritized.
Comprehensive Safety Training: PCG invests in continuous education and training for its workforce, ensuring that all Team Members are equipped with the knowledge and skills to identify and abate potential hazards.
Proactive Risk Management: The company employs a proactive approach to risk assessment and management, identifying potential safety concerns before they arise and implementing effective solutions to address them.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement: PCG regularly reviews and updates its safety protocols to adapt to industry changes and ensure the ongoing well-being of its Tewam Members and Trade Partners.
"We are honored to receive our third NEWCON Captive Safety Award over the past six years," said Lou Primak, president and COO of Primak Construction Group. "This recognition reflects the dedication of our entire Team to fostering a culture of safety and excellence. We remain committed to prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of our workforce on every project."
