Terracon Foundation Awards $50,000 Endowment to Arizona State University

Terracon Endowment Scholarship to support civil engineering students 

The Terracon Foundation announced the establishment of a $50,000 endowed scholarship at Arizona State University to support civil engineering students in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment, part of the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. The funding will support an annual scholarship for one student.

“Endowment dollars will be used to support scholarships for students with financial need who are pursuing their graduate or undergraduate degree in civil engineering, with a preference for those who have an interest in geotechnical engineering and pavement engineering,” said Ramon Padilla, P.E., geotechnical regional manager in Terracon’s Phoenix office. “Students from groups that are underrepresented in our engineering industry are highly encouraged to apply.”

Based in Tempe, Arizona State University is a comprehensive public research university. Its Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, comprised of eight schools serving more than 30,000 students, is one of the largest engineering colleges in the U.S., offering 27 undergraduate programs and 50 graduate programs.
